The Story Behind Little Banh Mi House

Born and raised in Vietnam, Minh Sang’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and a deep love for his roots. In 2012, Sang had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Australia, where he pursued a double degree in Accounting and Business Law in Deakin university. Despite this academic path, his heart always remained with the culinary world, a passion that had been nurtured by the rich flavors of Vietnamese cuisine he grew up with.

Perfect the Recipe: Crafting Authentic Flavours

Each recipe was developed with the goal of providing delicious, nutritious meals that were affordable for everyone. Sang and his sister spent countless hours everyday testing recipes, experimenting with different flavors, and consulting with his mother to recreate a sauce that would capture the essence of Vietnamese cuisine, while still catering to Melbourne’s multicultural palate.

The vision is to serve fresh, crispy banh mi with quality meats, packed with flavour and authenticity-just like the ones he enjoyed back home. Beyond the banh mi, they carefully crafted a menu that included traditional Vietnamese dishes like spring rolls, pho, bun bo hue, and bun.

Commitment

The little banh mi house’s commitment to quality and authentic flavors earned it rave reviews, and its reputation grew, attracting a loyal customer base. In 2024, Little Banh Mi House expanded with a second location, Little Banh Mi House Bakery in Cranbourne, where they bake fresh bread and pastries daily for the local community. The bakery has been well received, earning high praise for its quality and freshness. With the third location on the horizon, Sang’s journey is far from over.
